Today's Topic: Avoiding Foreclosure

If you read the newspaper or watch TV at all, you are probably already aware that many Floridians are either in foreclosure or behind on their house payments. Nobody wants to be in that situation, after all a home is usually the biggest invest you will make in your life. There are many negative things that can come along with missing payments and allowing your home to be foreclosed on, including losing your home and ruining your credit score for 10 years.

Most people are embarrassed or afraid to reach out for assistance. There are things that can be done to make things easier on you and your family if you take action quickly. One option is a "short sale". It gets you out from under the mounting debt before a foreclosure takes place and is much less harmful to your financial wellbeing than allowing the bank to repossess your home.
